As spring creeps nearer, I’ve been swapping out decor for lighter colors and textures. Fresh flowers always make the house feel brighter, and new drapes in the dining room give our main level a whole new vibe!
Here’s the latest that I’m reading, watching, and enjoying.

Now that we’re finally on the Ted Lasso bandwagon (see below), I was curious if a recipe existed for Biscuits for the Boss that Ted always gives Rebecca. The internet did not disappoint! (The Kitchn)
What I’m Reading
Charlotte Walsh Likes to Win by Jo Piazza is the story of a female tech titan returning to her hometown in Pennsylvania to run for Senate. I loved how Piazza (host of the Under the Influence podcast) weaves in the complexity of being a wife and mother within the minefield of being a female in politics. It’s a good read for an election year!
First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston (on Audible) reminded me a lot of the show Imposters on Netflix. The author cleverly jumps between present and past in this pageturner that kept me guessing. I found myself looking for reasons to put in my air pods to keep listening.
Need more book recommendations? Here’s what I read in February.
What I’m Watching
I recently subscribed to Apple TV to watch the limited series adaptation of Lessons In Chemistry. For what it’s worth I enjoyed the show but felt it missed the mark as an adaptation. Elizabeth Zott deserved the vindication she received in the book and the show skipped some of the details that captured that.
Since then I’ve jumped headfirst into all that Apple TV has to offer. My husband and I are loving Ted Lasso together. I blazed through The Morning Show in record time. But the one I liked the most is Bad Sisters, which my own sister recommended. I’m on board for anything Sharon Horgan does and Bad Sisters is yet another win (Catastrophe was my first Sharon Horgan experience and I will never stop singing its praises).
Love Ted Lasso! Great recommend Sam!
(and thanks for the biscuit recipe!)
